Description
Vallejo Obsidian Black True Metallic Paint Set
The Vallejo Obsidian Black Paint Set combines the depth of black with subtle metallic reflections to create surfaces with an elegant, intimidating and characterful appearance. Part of the Vallejo True Metallic range, this four-colour set provides a coordinated selection for building light, base and shaded areas alongside a dedicated airbrush colour.
Obsidian Black is designed for subjects where a dark metallic finish is central to the overall appearance. Its combination of deep black and restrained metallic reflection makes it particularly suited to sombre knights, secret orders, elite warriors and forces advancing from the shadows.
Four Coordinated Obsidian Black Colours
The set contains four 18 ml bottles of Vallejo True Metallic Metal, giving you distinct colours for different stages and areas of the finish:
- 77.120 Obsidian Black (Light) – 18 ml
- 77.140 Obsidian Black (Base) – 18 ml
- 77.160 Obsidian Black (Shade) – 18 ml
- 77.180 Obsidian Black (Airbrush) – 18 ml
The light, base and shade colours provide a structured selection for developing variation across dark metallic surfaces. This makes it possible to retain the strong black character of the finish while introducing changes in tone and metallic reflection across different areas. The separate Obsidian Black Airbrush colour adds an airbrush option within the same coordinated set.
Dark Metallic Character
Rather than presenting black as a completely flat colour, the Obsidian Black range introduces subtle metallic reflections that give painted surfaces additional character. The effect is suited to models and subjects where a dark, imposing metallic appearance is required without losing the depth associated with black.
This Vallejo paint set brings the four Obsidian Black colours together in one coordinated selection. Each bottle contains 18 ml of True Metallic Metal paint, with dedicated light, base, shade and airbrush colours providing a focused palette for creating layered black metallic finishes.
