Description
MisterCraft Plastic Model Kit
Spitfire Mk.Vb/Trop (1/72) D-192
This 1/72 scale Spitfire Mk.Vb/Trop from MisterCraft represents the tropicalised version of the famous British fighter. The Trop variant was adapted for operations in hot and dusty climates, featuring a distinctive under nose filter to protect the engine from sand and debris.
The model captures the elegant elliptical wing and streamlined fuselage that made the Spitfire one of the most recognisable fighters of the Second World War. Surface details and accurate proportions provide a solid base for recreating aircraft used in the Mediterranean and North African theatres. A full build guide and colour paint guide are included to assist with assembly and finishing.

History
The Spitfire Mk.V became one of the most widely produced variants of the type. The Mk.Vb/Trop version was specifically modified for desert operations, where dust and heat placed heavy demands on aircraft engines and systems.
These aircraft saw extensive service in North Africa, Malta and the Mediterranean, where they played a crucial role in achieving and maintaining air superiority against Axis forces.
