Hat Industrie Plastic Model Kit
Napoleonic Russian Infantry Marching (1/72)
This 1/72 scale set from Hat Industrie depicts Russian infantry in marching poses from the Napoleonic Wars, capturing the disciplined movement of troops on campaign. The figures are sculpted in orderly, forward-moving stances that work particularly well for column formations, road marches, or troops advancing toward the battlefield. Compared to action sets, these poses offer a calmer, more structured feel that reflects the everyday reality of Napoleonic warfare.
Marching infantry made up the vast bulk of Russian military power during the early 19th century. Long-distance movement was a defining feature of the Napoleonic campaigns, especially in Eastern Europe, where armies often covered huge distances under harsh conditions. Russian infantry became known for their endurance and ability to maintain cohesion over extended marches, a quality that proved decisive during campaigns such as 1812. Sets like this help portray those quieter but essential moments between battles, where armies were constantly on the move.
