History:
The Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkrad was a unique German military vehicle developed during the Second World War. Originally intended for airborne forces, it combined the front end of a motorcycle with a rear tracked drive system, providing exceptional manoeuvrability in rough terrain. With its lightweight build and powerful performance, the Kettenkrad was used for laying communication cables, pulling light artillery, and transporting troops and supplies across battlefields where conventional wheeled vehicles would struggle.
From the Eastern Front to the deserts of North Africa, the Kettenkrad proved itself a valuable asset, particularly in mud, snow, and forested conditions. Its versatility and reliability earned it a respected place among WWII military vehicles. This Build Army kit brings the distinctiveness of the Kettenkrad to life with accurate detailing and functional brick engineering—ideal for collectors, educators, and military history fans alike.
