From 1812 to 1815, the Prussian and Russian dragoon regiments played a crucial role in the allied effort to defeat Napoleon. As medium cavalry, dragoons were highly versatilecapable of performing reconnaissance, skirmishing, and powerful charges on the battlefield. Russian dragoons, often clad in dark green coats and crested helmets, were seasoned troops drawn from long-standing regimental traditions. Prussian dragoons, wearing blue or grey uniforms depending on the regiment, saw extensive action during the Wars of Liberation and the 1815 Waterloo campaign. This set reflects the shared characteristics of both armies dragoons, allowing collectors and wargamers to field a flexible and historically accurate allied cavalry force during the final years of the Napoleonic Wars.
