Browse 1/72 scale figures for military displays, aircraft scenes, vehicle dioramas, wargaming and standalone figure projects. Choose from soldiers, pilots, ground crews, civilians and other subjects covering different historical and modern settings.

Use the filters above to browse by brand, era, nation and availability. Check each product listing for its material, number of figures, poses, assembly requirements and included accessories before ordering.

What Does 1/72 Scale Mean?

At 1/72 scale, one unit on the model represents 72 of the same units on the full-size subject. This makes the figures compact enough for group scenes while allowing them to be displayed with suitable 1/72 aircraft, vehicles and buildings.

Figure height and proportions can vary between manufacturers, even when products share the same stated scale. Compare the product details and physical dimensions where supplied before combining different ranges.

1/72 Scale WW2 Figures

1/72 scale WW2 models can be brought to life with figures representing infantry, vehicle crews, pilots, ground personnel and other wartime subjects. When choosing a set, check the nation, unit, uniform, period and poses shown in the product description.

WW2 figure sets can be used alongside appropriate tanks, military vehicles, aircraft or scenery, but scale alone does not confirm historical or product compatibility. Review each item before planning a combined display.

1/72 Plastic Soldiers

1/72 plastic soldiers are available in sets covering different armies, periods and activities. Some figures may be supplied in multiple poses or with separate components, while others may use a different construction format. Check the individual listing rather than assuming every set is assembled in the same way.

WW1, Napoleonic and Other Historical Figures

The range extends beyond World War Two and can include First World War, Napoleonic and earlier historical subjects. Use the era and nation filters to narrow the products, then confirm the dates and unit represented in the full product title.

Modern and Specialist Figure Sets

Modern military personnel, emergency or specialist teams and other contemporary subjects may also be available. Fantasy or fictional subjects can appear within the wider range, so check the product description to ensure that the set suits your intended scene.

Using 1/72 Figures in a Diorama

Figures can add activity, context and a sense of scale to a model display. Before starting, consider:

• Scale: Confirm that the figures, vehicles, aircraft and scenery are all intended to work at 1/72.
• Period: Match clothing, equipment and poses to the scene being represented.
• Placement: Arrange the figures before fixing them permanently.
• Material: Select compatible adhesive, primer and paint for the specific figures.
• Contents: Check the number of figures and whether bases or accessories are included.
• Preparation: Review the product instructions before trimming, assembling or painting parts.

Are 1/72 Figures Pre-Painted?

Do not assume that figures are pre-painted or ready for display. Many modelling figures require preparation and painting, and some may also need assembly. The individual product description should confirm the format and contents.
