Historical Background:

The Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) was formed in 1940 as a deep reconnaissance and raiding unit, operating behind enemy lines in the harsh North African desert. Its members were recruited for their endurance, initiative, and navigation skills, often hailing from New Zealand, Rhodesia, and Britain. The unit used lightly armed and heavily modified trucks to conduct surveillance, sabotage, and convoy ambushes. These figures represent typical LRDG crewmensun-worn, practical, and lightly equipped for desert warfaremaking them ideal additions to any historical scene depicting this legendary unit.
